Over the last few months, Canadians have been having important conversations about our national sovereignty, especially with respect to our economic strength under rapidly changing global pressures and circumstances.
It’s important that we also have a substantive conversation about Canadian identity, and who we are as a people.
Quebecers have been discussing the substance of Quebec identity for a long time. They’ve recognized the need to establish a common culture and inspire greater social cohesion and integration.
It’s time for all Canadians to join the conversation and consider which values and principles unify us as Canadians.
